My new CD – To Brasil and Bacharach – which will be officially released Feb.2, 2016, started out as a concept I had for a concert, which didn’t materialize. So, I decided to take it to the next level and immortalize it! It’s been a challenging and fun journey that started with deciding which songs to cover, waiting for Marcos to work his magic, and going to Fantasy Studios to lay down the tracks – all a dream come true. I’ve had a bumper sticker above my desk at home for over 10 years that says “VISUALIZE RECORDING.” Though I could never have visualized all the blood, sweat and tears that went into the process (all worth it) – the intention was set and the dream destined to take shape. As I sit here today, with 500 CDs under my Christmas tree and embark on the next learning curve of the journey, I realize that I never visualized beyond recording, that I needed a second bumper sticker saying – “NOW GET TO WORK!”
