“Bay Area vocalist D’Orazi impresses in this album that combines the melodic magic of Burt Bacharach with mystical, rhythmical atmospheres of Brazil. Producer/arranger/pianist Marcos Silva, who has assembled top-notch musicians, helps D’Orazi convey her sublime musical vision. Bacharach/Hal David classics like “I Say A Little Prayer,” “Walk On By,” “Alfie,” “A House Is Not A Home” and “Close To You” sound like they were written to be performed with the soft, sensual Brazilian sensibility found here. Also featured are tunes originating in Brazil, such as Jobim’s “Fotografia.” In addition, there is material penned by Brazilian pop star Aecio Flavio, as well as a number by written guitarist Toninho Horta. Silva’s own ”Barra-Joá” fits in with the rest of the first-rate songs. And D’Orazi’s winsome, skillful vocals bring out the best in each tune.” – Paul Freeman, Writer/Editor PopCultureClassics.com

“What a marvelous CD! Kudos to all the musicians and particularly to producer Marcos Silva. Mary’s voice is consistently beautiful and soulful throughout. Her renditions of the Bacharach classics are now my favorite versions!  Parabens!” – Master percussionist, composer & five-time Grammy nominee John Santos
